no offense but enemies to lovers is a much more interesting trope than friends to lovers imo

let me rephrase this: enemies to lovers is better than friends to lovers because it offers a much more varied perspective on either individual. enemies to lovers forces characters to find the good in each other when they have no reason to.  friends to lovers is fluff, and fluff is fine, but it definitely doesn’t provide any of the angsty, page-turning, panties-wetting opportunities you could have if you got off your high horse for a minute and recognized the merits of two people who are inexplicably drawn together despite the fact they have been conditioned to hate each other.
