As a black person, I feel disgusted you would use my race this way, and for something as terrible as hurting someone else.

When you use racism, which is a very serious topic, as nothing more than a tool to help you in an argument, you trivialize the issue. That’s not what it’s for. Race issues are not yours to bring up whenever you want to make a false equivalency, or when you think you can make someone you don’t like look bad.

Racism should be spoken about by people who know what they’re talking about, for one, and only to either educate people on the goings-on of these issues, solutions for them, or speak about new theories, etc. etc; when the topic is actually appropriate.

Basically, it is not a rhetorical prop for you to use this way.

One of OP’s tags for this rancid shitshow of a post. Pro-tip – if you are worried that what you are going to say involves talking ALL OVER PoC and using them as props for your vicious hatred of another marginalized group, maybe learn to keep your mouth shut for once, mmkay? 

Others have already broken down this thing. It’s a casual reminder that we’re dealing with straight-up bigots here – young ones, who are still under the daft illusion that being on the left politically and having been subjected to oppression somehow means that they can never be bigoted. Seeing the horrific lengths they will go in order to feed and nurture and justify their festering hatred of a-spec people should have driven this point home a long time ago. 

Additionally, the notes are filled with new aphobe blogs. I know this because I’ve been blocking these people for two months straight and these names are new to me. At this point I’d add ‘block evasion’ to their list of sins, but I can’t be fully certain it’s the same people remaking – not without IP-logging, as was the case in places like LJ and DW. Either way, the notes make for a good block-list.
